Arthroscopy

Keyhole joint surgery to diagnose and treat knee, shoulder and other joint problems through tiny incisions.

Overview

About Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy uses a thin camera (arthroscope) and small instruments inserted through tiny incisions to look inside a joint and repair it. Because the cuts are small, there is usually less pain, minimal scarring and a faster recovery than open surgery.

Arthroscopy is commonly used for the knee and shoulder to treat torn ligaments, meniscus and cartilage injuries, and to remove loose bodies or inflamed tissue.

Conditions Treated

  • Meniscus tears
  • ACL & PCL injuries
  • Rotator cuff tears
  • Recurrent shoulder dislocation
